What if I told you there’s a path, a model, a blueprint that leads to self actualization? Well there is, and it’s called Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. It’s a simple pyramid that builds on each level and the end result is more fulfillment, more purpose, more awareness.
In the past several months I’ve heard about this hierarchy of needs multiple times and wanted to know more. My dear friend Dr Jackie Eldridge has based a lot of her work around this model and I’m excited to have her on this week’s podcast to have a conversation about this.
Jackie is an author, speaker and the founder of Hearts and Minds matter, a professional development company that works with educators to build inclusion and community. She’s also a professor at the University of Toronto.
And she has a way of sharing her expertise and work in a simplistic way. She breaks the model down in a way that makes it easy to understand and shares simple strategies and tools for all of us to use the model as we grow and self actualize.
I know you’ll love this episode, Jackie is one of the most authentic people I know and I’m grateful to have her share her personal stories and her expertise with all of us.
If you’re an educator, a leader in an organization or an entrepreneur with a small team you don’t want to miss this episode. And this path to self actualization is for all of us. Maybe you’re at home raising children, use the model. Maybe you’re on a gap year in Europe, use the model. The truth is we all crave more meaning, more fulfillment and more purpose. We’re meant to be in community, we’re meant to self actualize, here’s the path. Excited for you to listen, to learn and to implement. And here’s to all of us thriving on this path, together, to self actualization.
