“Be yourself, everyone else is taken.”-Oscar Wilde
How many times today have you compared yourself to someone else? Be honest! It happens all the time. I am just as guilty. So in full transparency this post is just as much for me as it is for you!! It is time that we all stop comparing ourselves and start being comfortable with who we are, embracing ourselves fully.
The world needs you, there is no one else like you. I do know this for sure ~ we are each here for a reason to express fully what we came here to express, to have an impact that is unique to each of us. Comparison does not serve us in any way. Let me repeat that… comparison does not serve us in any way!!
The truth is everyone will go at a different pace, have a different style, and have a completely different offering. So it really is a waste of time and energy to spend time comparing to someone else. I do believe that once we start stepping fully into what we came here to do and putting that time and energy into ourselves things will shift. Your business and life will grow and have more fulfillment.
If you think about it, trees don’t compare themselves to each other, the flowers don’t spend time in comparison. There is a beauty in each and every tree, weed, flower, rock and so on. People are no different. We all came to this life with a unique set of gifts and talents. It is our birthright and responsibility to step into that and create, express and contribute what only we can offer.
This is why I love, and really base the work I do off of, alignment. When things are in alignment, they are aligned to you, to your soul, your core, your nature, your essence. When things are in alignment, they flourish naturally and organically, there is ease and flow. Things, people, opportunities naturally come to you. When you get in alignment and then embody that, the law of the Universe will naturally bring all that is in alignment to you.
How is that for a shift in perspective?!! I know it makes me breathe deeper and it feels like less effort, more allowing.
Why spend time comparing to others and ‘shoulding’ yourself. Just. Be. You. Put all that energy where you are stalking soci
al media into YOU, into your business. Try it, try it for one week. No comparing. Be grateful for what y
ou came here to do, to be, to contribute. Keep a gratitude journal and compile evidence, gratitude and love for what you are doing in this world.
What if for one week you practiced taking all the energy that has been spent comparing to others into you and your business ~ honing your craft, getting clear, creating content, crafting a new offering, and so on. I promise you will see a shift. That is the beauty and the law of energy, it is actually pretty simple to shift it and then we see results by simply changing our perspective.
